'Jurassic World' Looks Fantastic

(I know I’m 3 days late to the party but whatever)

Steven Spielberg. Chris Pratt. Genetically modified dinosaurs. That right there is a formula for success.

This trailer is AWESOME. Now, I may be getting a little ahead of myself, but it looks like this has the potential to be the best “Jurassic” flick yet -- although I usually always side with the original film in a series when determining the best. This movie though, at least through this trailer, appears to have a lot of the old dinosaurs we loved and remembered from the other movies, as well as a new hybrid dinosaur which could help give the original film a run for its money.

The last “Jurassic” movie came out in 2001 and the advancements that have been made in computer animation since then are incredible. Movies like ‘Avatar’ and ‘Life of Pi’ simply could not have been made back then and they're cinematic gems. It’s going to be interesting to see a classic series come back to life (hopefully) bigger and better utilizing these technological advancements.

Any time you combine one the best directors/producers in cinematic history in Spielberg with one of today’s biggest movie stars in Chris Pratt, you’re going to get people excited. I, for one, am one of those people.

I remember watching the original ‘Jurassic Park’ when I was a kid and this trailer brings me back to those days. It’s never a bad thing when a 3 minute trailer can do that. With that being said, hopefully, the movie is as good as the trailer. Either way, I can't wait for June 2nd.

PS I still get nightmares about velociraptors
